# Going Your Own Way > Going Your Own Way is a death doula and end-of-life doula practice based in Brooklyn, New York. Founded by Sally Dankas, the practice provides advance care planning, end-of-life guidance, vigil planning, companion care, and caregiver support for people planning ahead, living with serious illness, or supporting someone they love through the end of life. Sally came to this work after caring for her mother at the end of her life and holds SAGECares LGBTQ+ Aging Cultural Competency for Inclusive Death Care Training certification. In-person services are available throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, with virtual planning services available nationwide. All services are offered on a sliding scale, and new clients can book a free 30-minute consultation. Going Your Own Way supports people at every stage of end-of-life planning, from those planning ahead to people living with serious illness, family caregivers, and those nearing the end of life. Services may be booked individually or combined as a comprehensive End-of-Life Guidance package.
